Prize Draw 2009
Raffle tickets, priced £2, were sold for the charity’s 2009 Summer Draw, with all proceeds going to the Vernon Monument Fund, as a registered Charitable Trust. The Draw Promoter was the Honorary Secretary, Vernon Monument Trust, C/O Room 209, Semaphore Tower, HMNB Portsmouth PO1 3LT. The draw was registered with Portsmouth City Council, issued Licence Number 31.

As announced by Cdr Paul Jones RN, the Chairman of the Organising Management Committee of Project Vernon: "The Project VERNON Summer Draw 2009 took place today (31st August 2009) in Horsea Island. The draw was witnessed by two members of the Project Team (myself and Dixie Dean) and the tickets were drawn by a member of the Portsmouth Royal Navy Bomb Disposal Team Duty Watch."

"The number of tickets sold was 1,590, raising a grand total of £3,180: Can I personally thank all those who worked so hard to sell their allocation of tickets and help raise the profile of this worthy cause. I'd also to thank the kind sponsors of our prizes. Most importantly, as the Project Chairman, I'd like to send a collective 'Thank you!' to all those hundreds of people who purchased the tickets thereby raising such a significant sum through their generosity. Well done all – Summer Draw 2010 is already being prepared, with bigger and better prizes... so buy early, to raise your odds of winning!"
